The entire elections process is as follows: 18 - 19 Aug - NominationsWhat do I have to do?Those interested in joining the club's Management Committee will have to hand in their nomination forms. Please follow all nominations instructions closely. Nominees who do not follow these instructions correctly will have their nominations rejected. Both hardcopy and softcopy required! Please submit both copies. Instructions A - Softcopy Download nomination_form.docPositions The positions are - Academic Director, Social Director, Marketing Director, Business Manager and Sports Director. Please fill in accordingly.Note that the title of your nomination form should be 20th Management Committee Elections and not 20th Executive Commitee Elections. 20 - 21 Aug - Casual ChatWhat do I have to do? The Elections Committee may call you for an interview session. Please indicate your available timings when you submit your hardcopy from 18-19 Aug. Please keep your mobiles switched on and make yourself readily contactable after the nominations period. 24 - 26 - Rally SpeechesDate: 24, 25 Aug 2008 Location: S4 Benches (South Spine) Time: 1230pm - 230pm What do I have to do? All candidates who have their nominations qualified will be required to attend this rally. During the rally, candidates will have to give a short speech to the audience. The audience will be made up of student leaders from ABC, our special projects, specialization clubs and sub clubs as well as the NBS student population. Speeches are limited to 3 min per candidates and 5 min per Exco candidate. Take this opportunity to leave a deep impression and stand out from the rest! 27 Aug - Polling DayWhat do I have to do? All NBS students are required to vote for the candidates on Thursday. Be surprised by sweets, flyers, posters or even balloons given out by the candidates. What's happening?Please show your support for their campaigning efforts by voting for them anytime between 9.30am - 5.30pm. Kindly note that it will be Union Day on Thursday. There will be no lessons from 10.30am - 2.30pm (unless instructions to attend lessons are given to you by your tutors / lecturers). All candidates will have to campaign and gain the support of NBS students during the period between the Rally and the Polling Day. Campaigning rules: - Each candidate must stand for election as an individual and must not associate himself / herself with other candidates standing for elections
- Banners and posters are only allowed at specific locations, as determined by the Election Committee
- Any poster / banner that bears defamatory remarks towards other candidates will be removed
- Any candidate who passes defamatory remarks towards other candidates will be disqualified
- No lobbying for votes is allowed inside the cordoned area for balloting on the polling day
